Jill is the owner and photographer for J Shantz Photography. An award winning portrait studio located St. Albert, Alberta. Not only does Jill have 11 years experience in the photography industry but she also holds a diploma in photography from NAIT. She is a firm believer in keeping up with today’s trends and continues to educate herself in the business and art of photography. The studio’s primary focus is lifestyle portraits and storybook wedding photography. Everything from families, babies, and pets to grads, business identity and boudoir. Jill’s philosophy is to provide her clients with a relaxed portrait experience and deliver a high quality product. She has great passion for her craft and enjoys the challenge of interpreting people’s relationships through the photographic arts.

As an active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, Jill has achieved numerous accreditations, awards, and in 2009 the designation of Master of the Photographic Arts. Jill has had the honor of being a finalist for Alberta’s portrait photographer of the Year in 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007. In 2008 she was honored by the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce with their Home Based Business Award of Distinction.

Giving back to the community is a very important part of business and J Shantz Photography proudly supports Animal Rescue Charities. Jill holds an annual portrait fund raiser to help injured, homeless and less fortunate furry friends.

As of 2010 the studio is now located in a commercial space in St Albert’s Campbell Business Park.
