A little bit about us……

Here are a few points about our education and qualifications etc. You know the business stuff.

Jill is a graduate of the U of A and NAIT. Where she was formally trained in photography.
She is a nationally designated Master of the Photographic Arts, MPA, with the Professional Photographers of Canada.
She is a member of the St Albert Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
Jill has also won a few awards and has been working in the industry since 1998.
Jill lives in the St Albert area with her husband and 3 furry children. Zoie, Maggie, and Molly. 2 cats and a little pooch.

Brittany is an active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada. Photography is in her blood. Both her Mom and a Uncle work in the industry. She has amazing talent. Jill is very lucky have found such a fantastic assistant.

What we love to do……

Photography — Obviously

Movies — We both love movies and sometime we will sit in the studio and watch movie trailers on the big screen.

Starbucks — Chai, Earl Grey Tea latte, pastries and cookies. Always makes for a good day.

Candy — We have a weakness for sugar here in the studio. Unfortunately is will catch up with us one day.

Wedding Cake — I think we can both agree that eating wedding cake is probably the best part of shooting a full day wedding. We love cake.

Travel — The world is a big place and we would love to see it all.

Giving back to the community is a very important part of business and J Shantz Photography proudly supports Animal Rescue Charities. Jill holds an annual portrait fund raiser to help injured, homeless and less fortunate furry friends. Watch for information each fall about this amazing event.
